FMS ActiveX Controls
Several FMS ActiveX controls can be added to CygNet Studio and CygNet Vision screens for purposes of viewing and managing your FMS measurement data via the CygNet HMI application. See CygNet Studio for information about using CygNet Studio.

Adding an ActiveX Control to a Screen
In the CygNet Studio application, screens can be viewed in either Edit mode or Run mode, but can be created only in Edit mode.
In Edit mode, you have three possible views.

Layout view (default)

Script Editor view
-
VBS Mini-Editor view
By default, Edit mode is in Layout view, where you can access TheView of your screen to add objects and edit their properties and settings. See Using TheFrame/TheView in the CygNet Studio section for more information.
Adding FMS ActiveX Controls
Use the procedure listed below to add CygNet FMS ActiveX controls to CygNet Studio screens.
To Add an FMS ActiveX Control to TheView
- In CygNet Studio, in Layout view, add a selected FMS ActiveX control to your screen. See Adding Objects to TheView for more information.
- On the Standard Tools toolbar, click and drag the ActiveX icon
to the desired location, or click the icon and then click a location, where you would like it to be located on TheView. The Insert OLE Control dialog box will appear. - In the Insert OLE Control dialog box list, double-click on a control name to add it to TheView in the selected location.
- Right-click on an added control to access its Property Sheet. On the property sheet, Normal, Events, and ActiveX pages contain values for the control properties.
- Configure each property sheet of the control as desired. See Configuring Object Properties in the CygNet Studio section for more information.
- On the Normal page, properties listed include the object identifier (FormCode or ObjectCode), CygNet properties, and formatting properties.
- On the Events page, properties listed include all events for the object for which script can be written. Double-click any Event name to access the VBS Mini-Editor dialog box associated with that Event.
- On the ActiveX page, properties listed include the ActiveX properties and OCXProperties for the control.
- ActiveX properties are listed in the ActiveX page of the property sheet. Click a property to configure its value.
- OCX properties are also accessed from the ActiveX page of the property sheet. (OCXProperties) is listed as the first entry of the dialog box. Double-click (OCX Properties) or click ... to access the CygNet FMS * Control Properties dialog box and configure property values.
